The Itinerary

The International Peace Garden, straddling the Manitoba/North Dakota border, has celebrated Canada–US friendship since 1932. 9 km² of gardens, waterfalls, fountains and 150,000 annual flowers.

The border cairn (the only one with no customs between the two countries — you can walk freely back and forth), the Carillon Bell Tower and the 9-11 Memorial Site (beams from the WTC North Tower) are highlights. The Conservatory holds 6,000+ cacti and succulents. Boissevain en route hosts Turtle Mountain Provincial Park.
