Fishing Spots on Crown Land

13957 fishing spots found

This directory lists Manitoba lakes by region, from the Shield lakes of eastern Manitoba and the Interlake to the Parkland, the western uplands and the far north. Lake names and locations come from hydrography data, so most entries tell you where the water is rather than what lives in it. Species appear on a lake where the province's waterbody data records them, for about 500 lakes, or where an angler has reported catching them, so a blank species list means we have no record yet, not that the lake is empty.

Anyone fishing in Manitoba needs a Manitoba Angling Licence unless they are exempt, and barbless hooks are required everywhere in the province. Seasons and limits vary by division and by lake, so read the Manitoba fishing licence and rules guide before you go. To see whether a lake sits in a park, a provincial forest or open Crown land, find it on the map, and check the Crown land camping rules if you plan to stay the night.

A Manitoba Angling Licence is not valid in national parks such as Riding Mountain; Parks Canada issues its own.
