The Itinerary
Whiteshell Provincial Park (2,720 km²), east of Winnipeg, is Manitobans' favourite playground: 200+ lakes, boreal forest and Canadian Shield rock formations.
Falcon Lake and West Hawk Lake are the base villages. West Hawk Lake, a meteorite crater lake (115 m deep, Manitoba's deepest), draws divers. Bannock Point Petroforms (stones arranged in shapes by the Anishinaabe 1,000 years ago) is a sacred site. Pinawa Suspension Bridge nearby.
